Toure and Eboue link up to keep mighty Real Madrid out
March 9th, 2006 | By: Ade Lamidi | No Comments »
Ivorians Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue both played for Arsenal yesterday as they withheld might Real Madrid 0-0 at Higbury last night.
Kolo Toure had an outstanding game in the centre of defence. He commanded his back line so well linking up with Emmanuel Eboue who was also in great form at right back. Both players normally star to the Elephants team and their experience is surely rubbing off on a depleted Arsenal team.
The Arsenal young defence managed to keep out the Galacticos which included Ronaldo, Robinho,Raul, Zidane, Beckham and Guti.
Having won the tie 1-o on aggregates, Arsenal are now true to the quarter-finals of the competition.
