Player Profile – Cyril Domoraud

May 13th, 2006 | By: Ade Lamidi | No Comments »

Cyril Domoraud was born July 22, 1971 in Lakota Cote d’Ivoire.

The veteran full back started his playing career in France with league one side Creteil before signing for second division side Red Star96 in Paris.

After 2 seasons for the Parisian team he was snapped up by French first division outfit Bordeax in 1996 and at the same time he impressed Ivorian coach Pierre Plemelding who gave him his international debut against Morocco in the same year.

From Bordeaux he joined Marseille before moving to Serie A when Inter Milan signed him in 1999. He struggled to hold down a place in the Milan team though and eventually returned to France with League one side Bastia in 2000.

He continued to move around Europe for the next few seasons playing for Monaco, Espanyol in Spain and Turkish side Konyaspor before returning to his first team Creteil in 2004.

His experience will be very useful to a young Ivorian side who are sometimes prone to lack of concentration.
