Henri Michel the Cote d’Ivoire coach has urged is troops to forget about the last defeat to Egypt and be focused on their quarter-final match against Cameroon on Saturday.
He is quoted as saying, “We must have high spirits and get over this defeat”. “We will be meeting opponents who are title contenders and this is also a chance to prove that we deserved to be going to the World Cup at the expense of Cameroon”.
Michel’s veteran goalkeeper Jean-Jacques Tizie faces a race against time to be fit for the Elephants’ quarter-final clash with Cameroon on Saturday. The experienced goalkeeper was injured during the game against Egypt and had to be replaced Boubacar Barry who might have to deputise once again.
