Didier Drogba bags a brace then makes bizarre admission
Didier Drogba bagged both goals for Chelsea against Manchester City in the Premiership yesterday and then made a bizzare admission in front of the BBC TV cameras. He initially said that ‘”Sometimes I dive, sometimes I stand.”
And then possibly after getting a clip round the ear, he retracted his admission on the club’s website by saying, “No, I don’t dive.” He went on to saying “I came across partly in the wrong way – I want to make clear that I don’t dive.”
Personally, I am a big fan of Didier Drogba but his antics of late have been out of order. He made a meal of a clash with a West Brom player a few weeks ago and then attempted to use his ‘Hand of God’ to get a goal against Fulham last week.
Didier will need to polish up his act if he is to lead the frontline for Cote d’Ivoire in the World Cup. If not he will spend most of the summer watching the beautiful game from the sidelines.

Drogba is too good of a player to need to dive. Now that he has made those statements you can bet the referees will look a little more closely every time he hits the ground.
