Cote d’Ivoire V Serbia & Montenegro preview

June 21st, 2006 | By: Ade Lamidi | 10 Comments »

Even though nothing is at stake for this match, I expect both teams to be up for this game.

Cote d’Ivoire will be without their main talisman Didier Drogba as he is suspended for the game, however I expect the fringe players such as Bakari Kone, Aruna Kone to put in a good performance and put some pride back into Cote d’Ivoire football.

This will be Henri Michel’s last game in charge so he will be fired up like the rest of the squad to win this game and bow out in style.

I expect a close game and Cote d’Ivoire to put in a good performance.

Cote d’Ivoire (probable) – Tizie, Eboue, K Toure, Boka, Meite, Zokora, G Toure, Akale, Romaric, A Kone, B Kone.

Anyone think the odds for an I.Coast win at 1/2 goal advantage to S&M too much..?
(FYI. 1/2 goal adv. to S&M means I.Coast can win by 1 goal margin)

No Drogba today? Oh no!
Well, I still hope Cote d’Ivoire will win 1 game.

I lived in Cote d’Ivoire when I was little. I am cheering for them to win. Allez les Elephants!

Great game! Fantastic to see their smiles after the match. Did you see that guy commanding the fans, waving the arms to the crowd? What a show! I hope to see them in 2010 too!!!
