Cote d’Ivoire V Netherlands Preview
A preview of the eagerly anticipated game show that the Elephants will most likely make one change in attack bringing in the more direct Aruna Didane for Bonaventure Kalou.
I expect a tightly contested game. Mark Van Bommel to try and stamp his authority in the middle of the park but the danger men for Holland in my opinion are Arjen Robben and Ruud Van Nilsterooy.
I hope Didier Drogba is up for a ‘Drog’ fight and I am happy that his perfect foil in Aruna Didane will start along side him.
All in all, the pressure is more on the Ivorians as they need a win to kick start their participation in this tournament.

Bon chance Ivorians! Although last time I said that, you guys lost. I hope I’m not some bad omen.
But I know that you guys can beat the Dutch and leave this group. Everything is in your hands bow.

look for Ivory coast to with that game. They could have beaten argentina if the officiating was fair. (a pk that drogba deserved clearly was not given).
MARK MY WORDS, IVORY COAST WILL PREVAIL AGAINST THE DUTCH.

I am just incensed at the blatant, intentional physical attacks that Dutch players are inflicting on the Ivory Coast players. I hope that guy who was carried out on a stretcher didn’t have his leg broken or something. Shame on Dutch!!! I always thought that the Dutch team is a clean-playing, hard-working team. I am ashamed myself of ever thinking that way. I am cheering for Ivory Coast. BEAT THE DUTCH!!!!

As long as FIFA does not tackle the racism of referees againts African teams and African team will never reach the last 8. I was disgusted, same story againts Argies and same Story between Ghana and Italy. And if your memory serves you well, close to the scandalous game between Italy and Cameroon in the 1998 World Cup, which led to Cameroonains burning white houses back at Home and huge riots.
It is utterly utterly disgusting that the worldcup is not competed on a level plain……
A disgusted Swede who hails from Africa…..

I couldn’t agree more laprimavera. I think the Ivory Coast got a RAW deal from that referee.. The Dutch played DIRTY and the ref did not give out enough yellow, heck red cards, a couple of penalty shots easily against the Dutch.. Hats off to the Ivory Coast for playing better, playing cleaner and displaying more talent, they were the better team!!

The blatant racism by the officiating crews needs to be honestly addressed and attacked by FIFA!!

Agree with all ref criticisms. Not to mention the clear handball when Persie (sp?) cleared it off the line with his upper arm: red card + PK should have been done.
