Cote d’Ivoire must learn to be more cautious in games
Cote d’Ivoire had four players booked yesterday during their match with Chile. One of the four players booked, Didier Zokora got his marching orders early in the second half leaving the Ivorians to play with 10 men for most of the second half.
And even though they were still comfortable with 10 men, the World Cup will be a different ball game althogether.
Against the Swiss, another three players got booked for decent.
I like the style of play of the Ivorians but they will need to urge caution especially when they play the likes of Argentina and Holland in Group C.
Any unnecessary fouls could see Cote d’Ivoire end up with less than 11 men and that could be their undoing in the Group of Death.
