Cote d’Ivoire have a lot of admirers in Europe

Cote d’Ivoire as a football team have gained a lot of admirers in Europe for the way they play attacking football. First Spain coach Luis Aragones was singing their praises after his team’s friendly 3-2 win in March. Now Switzerland coach Stephan Kuhn thinks Cote d’Ivoire are the best team to come out of Africa.

Whilst its a good omen to see opposition managers hailing your team, I still believe the Cote d’Ivoire team will need to live up to Africa’s best team tag when the World Cup finals kick off in less than two weeks time.

The quality of the team is there for all to see but in a group with the likes of Argentina, Serbia and Montenegro and Holland, any of the four teams can qualify. I am really looking forward to the Cote d’Ivoire match against Argentina.

This match will show if the Ivorians have really come of age in World football.

Good point Ade. I wonder what the match holland Cote d’Ivoire will be like. Cameroon proved a tough team against Holland. The Africans have an amazing fitness, which is something alot of european teams need to adjust to. I still admire Drogba’s way of playing. It is one very unusual, and alot of defences will have some trouble keeping him out of reach of a goal. Come on people. Start Visiting this blog!
