Cote d’Ivoire handed easy group in 2008 Nations Cup Qualifiers

Cote d’Ivoire, runners-up to Egypt in the African Cup of Nations on February 10, have been paired with Djibouti, Gabon and Madagascar in Group One of the African Nations Cup qualifiers.

The draw for the 2008 tournament in Ghana was released by the Confederation of African Football in Cairo yesterday.

I expect Cote d’Ivoire to easily qualify from the group and go on to do well in the tournament.
