Cote d’Ivoire goals in Europe

Ivorian striker Ibrahima Bakayoko scored his first league goal for Livorno, after joining the club on a free transfer from French side Istres. But his goal at the penalty spot did not prevent them from suffering a 2-1 loss to Parma. Bakayoko’s side maintain a credible sixth place on the table. Bakayoko was omitted from the Nations Cup squad in Egypt but will be looking to impress coach Henri Michel for the World Cup tournament.

Bonaventure Kalou scored in PSG’s 1-1 draw against Nancy, his fifth of the season. Kalou had scored the lone goal winner in their earlier league encounter.

Kanga Akale put his side Auxerre ahead in the 53rd minute as they beat Nice 2-0. It was Akale’s third goal this season.

Abdelkader Keita’s strike gave Lille a 1-1 draw against Nantes, while Amara Diane also hit the target for Strasbourg. But it could not help Strasbourg avoid a 2-1 defeat to Le Mans.
