[...] Netherlands 1 – 0 Cameroon Despite his controversial issue with Fergie and undecided future in Manchester United, Ruud van Nistelrooy scored in the 23rd minute to give the Dutch the victory. Cameroon is still bitter about not qualifying for the World Cup and it showed with them picking up six yellow cards and a red card. The game play that really menacing Marco Van Basten troop. Scary. Cote d’Ivoire 1 – 1 Switzerland The Elephants againts the improved Swiss. The two World Cup qualifiers played to a draw in Basle. Tranquillo Barnetta’s goal gave the Swiss the lead in the first half. Emerse Fae got the equalizer for the Elephants with a beautiful goal from 30 yards. These two teams continue to intrigue and unpredictable. Germany 7 – 0 Luxembourg Germany hammering their pressure on small team to make them feeling so good about it. The Luxembourg is ranked 152nd in the world and for once those FIFA rankings might be correct. I could list the German players who scored but it might be easier to list the ones that did not. One concern for the Germans is an ankle injury sustained by centre-back Robert Huth. He’ll be examined once the team returns to its training camp in Switzerland. Wales 2 – 1 Trinidad and Tobago Stern John gave the Soca Warriors the lead in the 32nd minute, but Robert Earnshaw scored twice to give Wales the win. It is worth noting that David Vaughan came on for Wales in the second making his international debut at 16 years of age, a record for Wales. He might play in a World Cup in my lifetime. Or not. Uruguay played 3:3 and 1:1 against Brasil during the world cup qualifications. They won 1:0 against Argentina in Montevideo, and lost in Buenos Aires.
So, unless you got something more intelligent to say, you shouldn’t speak at all.

Uruguay is no joke. Besides, it was probably Serbia and M’s first encounter in ages with South American football.

In fact, Uruguay were pretty unlucky not to qualify. It was a close thing.

I must apologize to you. I accedently thought this was the serbian blog. My appologies. Akbar: Uruguay lost to Australia, not matter about about draws, penalty’s etc. They didnt qualify. Tough luck. I saw alot of things that could be improved about the serbian team, but as all the teams that are preparing. No offence. Holland could have played alot better aswell. Once again, sorry Ade, good blog.

Cartman, sorry, but i see it different.Example: If i remember correctly, Ecuador won both against Brazil and Argentina, they are simply better than Uruguay.
They didnt Qualify for a reason, so stop trying to make yourself feel good about it, that you drew against a team that “almost qualified”. They are not a bad team, simply not a good one. So unless YOU have something usefull to say, please go somewhere else to make yourself feel better about the draw oke? You win some and you loose some. or in this case you DRAW some. I was simply proving my point that your defence is not so strong as people say it is. Luck comes in to the picture, but you should not use that simply as an EXCUSE.

Well, I will make myself feel better in Germany.
I may have had a bit harsh reaction to your post, Martijn, because I found in it a conotation like “you took a goal against a team of losers…”, which is not the case.
Anyway, these are friendly encounters, and if you watched the game you could see that the defence was static during that unnecessary goal. They were not careful at the ed of a friendly game. Nothing to worry about that much.

I think we are all looking forward to see great football at the next World Cup.

Peace.
Over and out.
