Cote d’Ivoire to meet Cameroon in the last eight of Nations Cup
Henri Michel, the colourful Cote d’Ivoire coach may well rue resting some of his big guns against Egypt. Cote d’Ivoire by virtue of coming second in Group A, having lost to Egypt yesterday face a very entertaining and skilful Cameroon side who boasts the top scorer in the tournament.
I saw the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon against Congo and in Eto’o and Webo, they have two deadly strikers that will worry any defence. The Elephants are about to be found out how much of a really good side they are.
The quarter-final match will bring back memories for both set of players who had to meet in the penultimate World cup qualifying match in Abidjan last year. On that occasion the Indomitable Lions triumphed 3-2 and the Elephants nearly didn’t make it to the World Cup.
